A little about me...

I am a Registered Psychotherapist, with a passion for helping professionals who have focused all their energy on helping others, only to become hurt themselves. Working with individuals who haven't typically spent time exploring their emotions, sensations or exploring behaviour patterns, I find personal success in creating a safe place for others to be vulnerable and feel safe to open themselves up to the uncomfortable thoughts, feelings and sensations they've been avoiding. My approach is both compassionate and straight forward, where I help clients to feel strong enough to approach what they fear.

I work with individuals experiencing symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Personality Disorders, Mood an Anxiety Disorders and Substance Use disorders. I am passionate about making therapy a safe space where you can come to be heard non-judgementally, pushed outside of your comfort zone and learn about yourself. All while processing traumatic events, even when it feels like there are too many events experienced to know where to start.

My education includes an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Recreation and a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology.

I have specialized knowledge and/or training in:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. (ACT)
